It is with great enthusiasm that we announce a landmark partnership among Cornerstone Performance Solutions (CPS), Uranus Investment Holdings (UIH), and the Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa (ABASA) and its investment company (ABASA InvestCo). This triumphant partnership has led to CPS becoming a 56.8% black-owned company, marking a significant milestone in its shared pursuit of empowerment and inclusion.
In the spirit of value investing and long-term thinking, we’ve crafted three distinct vision statements using the combined letters of CPS, UIH, and ABASA. Each statement aligns with the message of unity, student empowerment, and strategic value:
- “Cultivating Prosperous Synergy, Uniting Inclusive Horizons, Achieving Boundless Aspirations, Sustaining Africa” (CPSUIHABASA)
The message here emphasizes the importance of unity in a post-colonial South Africa, and this vision promotes inclusivity, equity, and sustainable growth for a shared future. As Jeff van Rooyen, the chairman of UIH says “This triumphant investment provides a platform for transformative education to help shape the South Africa that brings true inclusion for all one step closer.”
- “Committed Personalized Support, Unleashing Intellectual Heights, Aspiring Beyond Academic Success, Achieving Ambitions” (CPSUIHABASA)
The message here highlights our focus on catering to individual students, and the importance of tailored learning experiences and nurturing personal growth to achieve academic success and fulfil aspirations.
- “Collaborative Performance Solutions, Unlocking Innovative Horizons, Accelerating Business Advancement, Securing Achievements” (CPSUIHABASA)
This vision focuses on clients’ strategic needs and showcases the value of implementing strategies through skill development, fostering long-term success, and securing achievements.
Using the letters together gives a clear sense of the power of collaboration.
Dr. Derek Shirley, the CEO of CPS, states that ‘As a further transformed organisation, we intend to play an even more forceful role in building the competitive capability of the South African workforce. Learning has no frontiers – yes, we can shape futures together.’
As a further empowered entity, CPS is perfectly positioned and better equipped than ever to create educational value in its selected areas. Mr. Ashley Dicken, the chairman of ABASA InvestCo says “We are confident that together we will leverage our strong brand, network and relationships to add value to our clients, our stakeholders, our shareholders, and take the business to a higher level.”
Drawing on the synergies we’ve discovered in our minds, our hands, and our hearts, we are excited to empower individuals through education, shaping brighter futures together. “It is always fulfilling to see the key strategic elements of the ABASA strategy come to life through collaborations such as these. This CPS partnership speaks to the core of our education and socio-economic participation imperatives and driving meaningful benefits to our members at large.” says Ms Linda Maqoma, ABASA National President.
